What? Where?

Tupalo is social mapping for local culture, allowing members to share and review their favorite locations around the world catering to those who think a little differently. Tupalo is for locals and visitors alike who want to know where the best venues, record stores, vegetarian cafes, salons or fringe fashion boutiques are in their area. We are currently in an open beta, but are continually adding new features and improving the service before our launch in early 2008.

Clemens Beer | Co-Founder / Head Tech Honcho

Clemens has been a code guy for nearly 20 years, having worked in a variety of industries. Before starting Tupalo he was responsible for the next-generation animation technology at Rockstar Vienna, where he also lead the development of titles like GTA Vice City and Max Payne. Prior to joining Rockstar he co-founded the indie games studio Parsec Project and worked for an offshore hedge fund as visualization and research programmer. Clemens lives in Vienna, Austria, where he balances family life and conquering the never empty bug database using Ruby.

Michael Borras | Co-Founder / Chief Evangelist

Involved in music marketing and publishing for over 15 years as founder of record labels Skylab Operations and Observatory, Mike also founded independent music auction service, Skylab Commerce.com in 1998, which was home to over 16,000 registered users and closed thousands of music-related auctions monthly. Mike has been involved in the IT and Internet industry since the mid 90s, before entering the interactive gaming industry, most recently as a member of the Quality Assurance / Production department of Rockstar Games.

Anders | Brand and Identity Consultant

Anders lives in the sun of Copenhagen and the darkness of Tokyo. Running different projects in both cities, he loves to engage in things that involve characters, lots of colors and other worlds to escape into. Apart from running grafx bureau Venom Yum and shirt project Woven Flesh, he likes to watch The Muppet Show and track down exotic ice cream flavours.
